Our Story

After graduating from Cal Poly Pomona with a BS in Business Administration, Phillip worked with Merrill Lynch in Anaheim, CA. During the Citibank Smith Barney merger, Phillip was recruited to Smith Barney in Orange, CA with a large list of institutional clients.

During the year 2002, Phillip reviewed the business model at Smith Barney relating to investment bank services versus the private client model and decided to seek a new path that did not involve proprietary products and trading. This led him to become an Independent Advisor at LPL Financial.

As reported by Financial Planning Magazine, June 1996-2023, based on total revenue, LPL Financial is the largest Broker/Dealer for Independent Financial Advisors. LPL does not engage in investment banking, nor do they offer any proprietary products.

Phillip successfully operated his own company, Andrew Phillips Financial Services, for 12 years. On January 1st, 2015, Andrew Phillips was merged with Maupin Financial Services, creating Maupin Financial Advisors.

In 2019, Phillip founded Cornerstone Christian Wealth Management to service the community with the financial coaching in biblical stewardship and professional investment advice. His daughter, Julia Naman, joined the business in 2020 as a licensed Financial Advisor and became a Certified Financial Planner™ Professional in 2023.

We'd love for you to be part of the next chapter, in dependable forthright investment services.
